‘Smile,’ because you’ve got a brand new horror movie trailer to watch

We’ll forgive you if, watching the first trailer for SmileParker Finn’s new horror flick about – you guessed it – creepy smiles and the people who wear them, you might have thought back to this goofy Blumhouse flick Truth or Dare which came out in the pre-Covid days. Ah, remember when we all got together to ruthlessly dive into eye-catching movies centered around wacky gadgets? Well, you don’t need to remember anymore: Smilecame to reclaim the creepy grin of a whole new generation of… 16 year olds with shit to do on Saturday nights and horror fans who are still going to see PG-13 horror even if they have mortgages to pay to pay and the medications to be taken. You know, that sounds like the kind of thing we’d be absolutely mad about, at least based on that trailer Paramount released earlier on Wednesday, back when movies like Boogeyman made us want to hit the multiplex with someone we had a crush on. If you want to step back in time and have full-body grimaces remembering what it was like the first time you held hands at the movies, well, watch this shit.

Take a look there :

Hope you survived this latest jump scare, because it looks like it just destroyed a group of YouTube commentators. We’re definitely not writing this from behind a couch, totally wrapped up in a blanket so those creepy motherfuckers can’t get us. No way.

Here is a synopsis:

“After witnessing a bizarre and traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) begins to experience frightening events that she cannot explain. As overwhelming terror begins to grip her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.

Smile opens wide on September 30. Are we proud of ourselves for this pun? You bet we are.
