The next The Flash movie might have a few more surprises in store – potentially major spoilers in this story (if they turn out to be true).
According to stories circulating right now, it’s rumored that the DC Extended Universe of superhero movies will honor its past with cameos from Christopher Reeve, Adam West, and Lynda Carter in the upcoming one. the flash film. The film, which has already confirmed appearances from two different versions of Batman, could also feature quick appearances from 1960s Caped Crusader Adam West alongside Reeves’ Superman and Carter’s Wonder Woman.
We’ve seen posthumous appearances by actors draw criticism before, whether it’s Peter Cushing’s “appearance” in A thug or the news from a few years ago that James Dean would be “back” in a movie about dogs during the Vietnam War. However, the source here suggests that the filmmakers didn’t go in that direction and will instead use stock footage, which we think makes perfect sense.
The film isn’t slated for release until next year and with its lead star Ezra Miller making headlines repeatedly for all the wrong reasons at the time, the appearance of deceased actors (and Carter) is likely the least of the concerns of the project. now for Warner Bros. Still, as an idea at least, honoring the actors who laid the groundwork for some of today’s most beloved movies sounds like a good feeling, if nothing else. Whether that happens, we’ll have to wait until the summer of next year to find out.
