The creator of the popular children’s television series Grange Hill, Phil Redmond, has revealed that he wrote the screenplay for a film version of the series.
If you had that on your 2022 Movie bingo card, then fair play to you. It has been revealed that the children’s television drama Barn Hill – which reached such heights in the 1980s that its cast sang its anti-drug song to Nancy Reagan on the White House lawn – is set to return.
Phil Redmond, the show’s creator, revealed in an interview with The Guardian that he wrote a screenplay for a feature film version of the series. In addition, the film by Barn Hill should be with us potentially by the end of the year. Celyn Jones is co-authoring.
Redmond has revealed that the cast will include old and new faces, although he is not at this point drawn to the details. As we have more news, we will keep you updated.
For now, we leave it to you Barn Hill the cast sings Just Say No, since 1986….
