Black Adam: release date, trailer and cast

DC Comics’ blockbuster film for 2022 set for release “Black Adam”, the story of a supervillain inspired by the comics about Captain Marvel’s nemesis.

Featuring Dwayne johnson in the lead role, much is expected of the latest in a series of supervillain films, which continue to garner fan attention.

Along with “The Batman”, this will be DC Comics’ biggest launch after “The Suicide Squad” and “Justice Society: World War II” in 2021.

What is the release date of “Black Adam”?

‘Black Adam’ was originally slated for a December 22, 2021 release, but has been forced to return due to production issues caused by the pandemic.

The new date, as Johnson revealed on Instagram, is July 29, 2022.

Filming began in April 2021 and is currently on track to be ready for the July launch, which was confirmed in March.

Who is part of the cast of “Black Adam”?

Johnson, better known as “The Rock”, stars as Black Adam and is joined by several other stars.

Former James Bond actor Pierce brosnan portrayed Dr Fate, while Sarah shahi plays Adrianna Tomaz.

Among the rest of the cast are Noah Centineo like Al Rothstein, Aldis Hodge like Carter Hall, Quintessa swindell like Maxine Hunkell and Marwan Kenzari and Uli Latukefu in unconfirmed roles.

Watch the movie trailer for “Black Adam”

The first trailer for the latest installment of the DC Comics film was released even before filming began in August 2020, in an animated sequence voiced by Dwayne Johnson.

The trailer gave a glimpse into the story of Black Adam’s escape from prison, but didn’t include any footage due to the difficulties of filming.

A second trailer was released in July 2021, using the same voiceover, with clips of Johnson dramatically fighting armies and lions in a range of settings.
