The Spider-Man spin-off has just released the latest trailer for the Morbius movie after the film was delayed six times. The film was scheduled to be released in July 2020, but Sony Pictures moved Morbius to March 19, 2021. In January 2021, the studio pushed the film back to October 8, 2021. Then quickly moved it to January 21, 2022. The last seen Morbius has been postponed to April 1. Sony Marvel production will go against The contractor, which comes out the same day.
We haven’t seen many signs of life from our future living vampire, Morbius. But with the film’s delay, there’s still time for one final trailer. This trailer does not contain many new images. That’s not too shocking, considering we’ve been getting trailers for this movie for over two years now. Like previous trailers, this latest one has tons of footage of Jared Leto as a vampire, but not much else.
However, the trailer gives us our first look at Matt Smith, who plays Loxias Crown, the film’s villain. But the movie doesn’t explain which Spider-Man universe the movie is set in.

Morbius Cast and More Movie Info
Morbius is the latest entry into Sony’s Spider-Man universe, where we meet Dr. Michael Morbius. Micheal is an almost ordinary doctor who accidentally turns into a vampire. Micheal transforms into a living vampire, trying to find the cure for his lifelong blood disease through the experimental science of vampire bats. Now tortured by his thirst for life, Michael finds himself torn between his human and monstrous nature.
Along with Jared Leto and Michael Keaton, Morbius will also feature Jared Harris from Terror like Emil Nikols and Tyrese Gibson of Fast and Furious like Simon Stroud. Daniel Espinosa, who directed Life That, was released in 2017, and Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote the film, who both also wrote the 2017 Power Rangers movie together.
As mentioned above, Morbius’ place in the multiverse is still unknown, leading fans to speculate if they’re setting the film in the MCU or in the universe where Tom Hardy’s Venom lives. Perhaps we’ll find out more as the film’s release date draws closer. Until then, we’ll enjoy the final Morbius movie trailer.
