Earlier this week, The Guardian named / Film one of the essential movie websites. If that wasn’t enough, I just learned that the Microsoft-owned MSN portal named our site one of the top ten movie sites of the decade. Here is what MSN wrote:
One of the best and most professional movie blogging sites on the net, / film (or slashfilm as it is commonly called) has won a multitude of awards and enjoys a loyal following. The reviews are quirky and interesting, the news is fast-paced, varied, and pleasantly esoteric, but the real draw of / film is the excellent weekly podcast, which usually features a smart, funny, or surprising guest. If you haven’t tried it yet, please do. It is sure to find a place on your favorites list.
We’re once again surrounded by awesome movie sites like IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Drew’s Script-o-rama, and other movie news blogs like Ain’t It Cool News, Bloody Disgusting, and CHUD. I would once again like to thank the / Film team, David Chen, Russ Fischer, Hunter Stephenson, Devindra Hardawar, Brendon Connelly, Adam Quigley, Christopher Stipp, and of course you / Film readers. Without your support, we wouldn’t see such great honors.
