Mike Myers Hints at Possible Fourth Austin Powers Movie – Film News |

Mike Myers has hinted that a fourth Austin Powers movie may be in the works.

During an interview on Sirius XM’s The Jess Cagle Show, the Wayne’s World actor was asked if fans can expect to see him play the fake British spy in a fourth film, nearly 20 years after the release of the third.

“I would love to do one. I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of such a project, whether it exists or not,” Myers replied, before saying more and then s ‘Stop. “You know, we’re…you know.”

Co-host Julia Cunningham said, “I feel like yes, I’m sorry, I feel like you mean yes,” and Cagle added, “It’s like confirmation that this will be announced.”

Myers then replied that it was “an unconfirmed confirmation of confirmation”.

The Shrek star first played the inept ’60s spy in 1997’s Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and quickly followed with 1999’s Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and 2002’s Austin Powers in Goldmember.

He wrote or co-wrote and produced each film and appeared as several characters. In addition to Austin Powers, he also played the villainous Dr. Evil and his henchmen Fat B**tard and Goldmember.

The Canadian actor previously teased that a revival could be in the works in 2019, telling Entertainment Weekly that he’s “working to make it a reality.”

Myers gave the interview to promote his new Netflix series The Pentaverate, in which he plays eight different characters. The comedy launched on the platform on Thursday.
